Pennsylvania-raised photographer Chris Holmes was attending college in Rochester, New York when his brother’s gift of a well-used Nikon FM led him to photography.

After he settled in the East Bay, his exploration of the area's regional preserves and his travel expanded his portfolio. His photographs have appeared in shows across the Bay Area, from San Franscisco to Contra Costa.
